Mechanical Director, Glasgow
Allan West, CEng, MSc, MCIBSE
Allan joined our Glasgow Team in 1997 as an Engineer, having previously worked in heavy engineering as well as in a local authority property division. He has progressed naturally through the Business to Mechanical Director in 2017, thereby broadening his responsibilities to more strategic technical and business focussed activities.
Allan’s experience is equally diverse in terms of sector spread and project size and value. He has been involved in Mechanical Building Services Design across a wide range of sectors including Higher Education, Healthcare, Retail, Residential, Leisure, MOD/Government Agency, Commercial and Industrial.
Allan has successfully led many of the large, complex and prestigious projects that have been designed and delivered by the Glasgow office. His attention to detail, problem solving and collaborative working abilities are key assets.
As an alumnus, he was delighted to support Glasgow Caledonian University as an External Examiner on the BEng (Hons) Building Services Engineering for a four-year tenure from 2017 to 2021.
