We are delighted to have provided MEP professional services, supporting this landmark development in the North East of Scotland.
Replacing the current Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre, the new ‘P&J Live’ accomodates a 12,500 capacity arena including 16 VIP boxes, 3 multi-use halls (2,000m² each), 4 conference suites (combined 2,264m²), meeting rooms, restaurant, 33,000m² subterranean space, food & beverage outlets and merchandise kiosks, that together constitutes the largest event complex in the North of Scotland.
'P&J Live' is the keystone facility within a broader mixed-use development including an adjoining 200 bed 4-star Hilton Hotel, a 150 bed Aloft Hotel, a budget hotel and a number of commercial plots for future development.
Recognising Aberdeen’s status as an ‘Energy City’ and a ‘Global Energy Hub’, the development relies upon an innovative low-carbon energy centre that utilises a number of technologies to facilitate tri-generation of electrical power, heating and chilled water;
Fuel cell CHP.
Absorption chiller.
Anaerobic digestion (Biogas).
