We are delighted to have played a role in transforming Plas Alltran, a Grade II listed building in Holyhead, into four modern social housing flats which seamlessly blend contemporary living with the preservation of its rich heritage.
In collaboration with BTP Architects, we provided Mechanical and Electrical design consultancy to enhance the building’s thermal performance and integrate energy efficient services while retaining the building's historic character. Our designs prioritised conservation, ensuring original architectural features and materials were retained wherever possible.
Having all new services throughout, the heating is provided via individual gas fired combination boilers, whilst the ventilation employs a whole house design solution via MVHR units; the project is a testament to thoughtful and considered design, with collaboration and smart engineering.
A huge thank you to Cyngor Sir Ynys Môn, Isle of Anglesey County Council, BTP Architects, Recclesia Ltd, heritage authorities and the entire project team for making this happen!
